What's included?

Global Traceroute Pro users continue benefiting from all the rest of our features, including our original traceroutes and pings, more recent DNS query options, and most recently a closer look at how individual probes interface with domain name system resolution. Please see our Release Notes for an up to date look at our feature set.

Why a subscription model?

As Global Traceroute's usage has grown, so have its hosting bills. The subscription model is an attempt to cover those costs.

We considered several revenue models for Global Traceroute before settling on this one. We value being a public service, as do the organizations whose systems we have built our systems on top of. It was important to us to keep our base featureset free for our occasional users.

Who is this subscription service for?

Our heaviest users are the obvious choice for this. They drive our hosting costs. Anybody else who likes what we do and would like to support us is welcome to subscribe as well.

What if we need more than 1,000 queries per day

Let's talk. Please contact [email protected].

Can we try the service for free and see if we like it?

Yes. Global Traceroute Pro is free for the first month, and you can cancel any time.

Global Traceroute is a product of Link Level Consulting LLC.
Global Traceroute uses RIPE Atlas probes. RIPE Atlas is a dynamic, global network of thousands of probes that have been measuring Internet connectivity and reachability in near real time since 2010. Anyone can directly access the data collected by RIPE Atlas, as well as Internet maps, graphs, tools and analyses based on the aggregated results, at https://atlas.ripe.net. RIPE Atlas was developed and is operated by the RIPE NCC, along with the help of thousands of volunteers. The RIPE NCC is one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) that support the global operation of the Internet.
